House Republican Minority Leader Steve Scalise announced that he plans to run for the House Majority Leader position, as the GOP is expected to take back control the lower chamber.

In a recent letter, the Louisiana Republican emphasized the need for the party to come together to build a better America for all and mentioned that it is essential to pass legislation on issues that impact everyone.

He affirmed that conservative ideology is the only manner to fix the problems that many families are facing in the United States.

It has not been announced that the Republicans have officially won the House, but the odds are in their favor. Congressional races in key states, which include Arizona and California, are poised to be Republican.

The GOP needs 218 seats to retain a majority in the House of Representatives. However, it is not expected that Republicans will have as wide majority as many people predicted.
