Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) criticized Joe Biden for failing to stand up to China’s abuse of U.S. national interests.

Speaking at the Aspen Institute on Thursday, McCaul said the U.S. is reliant on China for medical equipment, rare-earth materials and semiconductors, which is unacceptable. The congressman stressed he successfully worked with the Trump administration to bring those industries back in the U.S.

However, he added Biden isn’t doing enough to address those problems.

“When you look at the hypersonic that was launched by China recently, it’s frightening,” said McCaul. “It surpasses our capability. Our missile defense systems cannot stop it. And the frightening thing is that it was built on the backbone of American technology. What we haven’t given to them, they’ve stolen, and what they haven’t stolen, we’ve sold to them.”

Congressman McCaul stressed Biden will go down in history “as one of the worst presidents in terms of foreign policy.”
