Reports: President Trump replaces top DHS officials

Following a similar purge at the Pentagon, President Trump is reportedly replacing top Homeland Security officials.

According to reports on Thursday, DHS Cybersecurity Chief Bryan Ware has been forced to resign, effective Friday. He will be replaced by his deputy Matt Hartman. The Department’s Chief of International Affairs, Valerie Boyd, has also resigned from her position.

Reports have claimed President Trump is seeking to assert control at both the DHS and the Pentagon amid mounting national security challenges.
