The President has called for an end to coronavirus related lockdowns ahead of November’s election. During Thursday’s MAGA rally in North Carolina, he called on Governor Roy Cooper and his fellow Democrats in other states to end the harmful lockdowns.

“North Carolina, tell your governor to open up your state, open up your schools,” said President Trump. “…Got to open up your businesses, open up your schools, get it going.”

He added COVID fears and death numbers have been greatly exaggerated, while the actual mortality rate remains low.

“We’ve learned about this disease,” added the President. “We have incredible therapeutics, we have incredible drugs, (and) we have, in my opinion, a cure because I took something (from) Regeneron.”

He went on to say Democrat run states have had the highest number of COVID infections in the country, despite the most stringent lockdowns and face mask requirements.
