Joe Biden has unveiled his own plan for reopening the U.S. in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. On Thursday, the presumptive Democrat nominee laid out his eight-point plan to restart the economy.
It included the federal government footing the bill for all COVID-19 tests and personal protective equipment.
We have to ensure our economic reopening is safe and strong — and builds the foundation for an economy that works for everyone. Today, I’m releasing my plan to make that happen: https://t.co/v6hImc0J3q

According to Biden, a vaccine czar would be appointed to make sure a vaccine is readily available to all who need it. Workers would also be given paid leave if they contract the virus.
The former vice president then took a swipe at President Trump, who he claimed doesn’t have a cohesive plan in place to safely reopen the U.S.
“Trump has basically had a one-point plan: open businesses, just open. But it does nothing to keep workers safe and keep businesses able to stay open. It has done very little to generate consumer confidence.” – Joe Biden, former Vice President of the United States
The presidential hopeful also took aim at Facebook. He called on the company’s CEO to do more when it comes to fact checking misinformation on its platform.
So far, Facebook has failed to enact any real reforms to stop the spread of disinformation on its platform. Time is running out.
Today, we’re releasing an open letter demanding the company change its policies: https://t.co/S1WIQTsfEL
