The Surgeon General addressed potential skepticism or fears surrounding coronavirus vaccines.
On Friday, Jerome Adams joined the vice president and second lady in getting vaccinated publicly to show Americans the treatment can be trusted.
As I said this morning, it’s not only okay to have questions about a medical treatment or vaccine- it’s normal and expected. What’s NOT okay is letting misinformation or mistrust lead you to make a poor decision for YOUR health!

In a brief speech, Adams said the vaccines are a gift from above. He added he is dedicated to combating mistrust and misinformation to ensure all Americans can be treated.

Adams sympathized with those who may be hesitant to get a shot as soon as it’s available to them. He noted it is ok to be skeptical.
