Pressure has continued to mount for California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) as voters started to cast their ballots in the state’s historical second-ever gubernatorial recall. California counties began sending out mail-in ballots on Monday.
The ballots contain two questions to determine Newsom’s fate. Question one, answered with a yes or no response, decides whether Newsom will be recalled from office. Question two allows voters to choose which of the 46 qualified candidates would replace him.
Leading the popularity contest among replacements for the embattled governor has been radio talk show host Larry Elder. Over the weekend, Newsom held a news conference with other Democrat leaders in which he repeatedly begged Californians to “just vote no.”
Voting has begun. If you’ve received your ballot in the mail, vote YES on question 1 to recall Gavin Newsom, who has made California unlivable for millions of people.

Newsom also attempted to enrage and motivate left-wing voters by tying Elder to none other than President Trump.
“He’s to the right of Donald Trump, to the right of Donald Trump,” he stated. “That’s what’s at stake in this election and don’t think for a second you can’t do damage in that role.”
The governor’s continued push to convince a majority of voters not to recall him comes as recent polling has shown an evenly divided state among those who want him out and those who wish to see him stay. The election has been set to be held on September 14.
