New details have come to light regarding President Trump’s class action suit against Big Tech companies. In an article released by the Wall Street Journal on Thursday, the 45th president shared his reasons behind his lawsuit against Big Tech and announced his dedication to restore free speech for every American.

Trump went on to say the internet has been “the new public square” and Big Tech platforms have “aggressively censored information and people on social media” over the past few years. He went on to explain censorship has become far more than the removal of threats and violence, with social media platforms “manipulating and controlling the political debate itself.”

Trump highlighted censorship throughout the pandemic, with Big Tech blocking content regarding the origins of COVID-19 and potential treatments for the virus itself.  The 45th president argued foreign adversaries have been able to use social media to spread hateful lies and threats against the U.S. without consequence, but the American people continue to be blocked from sharing “unapproved ideas,” which challenge the public guidance of government entities such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Trump insisted Big Tech’s power on controlling free speech would continue to damage the nation and vowed to continues his efforts to fight for constitutional rights for all Americans.
