Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) asserted Joe Biden is letting cartels take “complete charge” of the U.S.-Mexico border. During a recent interview with Breitbart, the Tennessee Republican said the Biden administration is more focused on being politically correct than facing the security risk.

Her remarks came after Border Patrol Agents, who are strapped for resources, grappled with at least 183,000 illegal crossings in the month of May alone. Blackburn went on to stress that Biden’s failure to act is not only posing a danger to Americans, but also to the migrants attempting the journey the U.S.

“It is heartbreaking to see these children that have been physically and sexually abused by the cartels,” stated the Republican senator. “The cartels are completely in charge of the border. If you are not doing something to shut down that border, then you are helping the cartels.”

Blackburn went on to say that Biden has spread the effects of the border crisis all over the country as catch and release makes every town a border town.
