Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) took aim at the House Armed Services Committee for holding a hearing on extremism in the military.

Speaking in Wednesday’s hearing, the Florida congressman said the committee is more worried about “woke culture” than protecting our armed forces. He added radical extremism lies within North Korea and the Chinese Communist Party, where they are actively threatening the U.S. with its nuclear capability.

Gaetz quickly pointed out the topic of extremism in the American military is a sheer effort for them to boost their liberal agenda.

“The entire purpose of this hearing is not what the chairman said. It is to gaslight the targeting of U.S. military patriots who do not share preapproved politics,” Gaetz stated. “This is not about extremism, it is not about white supremacy. It is about woke supremacy.”

Gaetz went on to tout the diversity of our military, claiming Democrats are using the charge of extremism to attack conservatives and supporters of President Trump.
