New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has ordered additional National Guard presence at airports around the Empire State in an effort to better ensure travelers to the state do not have COVID-19.

Gov. Cuomo announced the increase of National Guard troops Friday and urged people not to land in the state unless they have proof they have tested negative for the virus.

Travelers who do not have proof of a negative test must quarantine for 14 days while those with proof only have to isolate for three days. The move comes ahead of the holiday season as the state continues to battle the coronavirus.
