The CDC has released an update on its guidelines to prevent contamination of COVID-19. On Tuesday, health officials changed the guide to say the virus mainly spreads between people and does not spread easily in other ways.
The guide previously stated the virus spreads by touching surfaces or objects. It is still possible to contract the virus from droplets on a surface, but officials have said this is not how it is mainly spread.
This came after a top virologist found no evidence the virus could live on surfaces.

Meanwhile, a new poll revealed Americans have become less susceptible to coronavirus fears stirred by mainstream media. A survey from the AP and Norc Public Affairs Research found 60% of Americans support the stay-at-home orders and other COVID related restrictions.

This is a drop from 80% who backed such policies last month.
Roughly half of American households lost income due to virus related shutdowns, while a rising number of citizens are concerned with increased government control.
The poll also found a rising number of Americans don’t believe a coronavirus vaccine is necessary.
