The governor of Arkansas is reopening his state a little bit differently than most others. Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) announced residents can resume attending outdoor venues and places of worship with strict guidelines.
The directive requires Arkansans to wear face masks and stay at least six feet away from people not in their household. The governor also said churches can decide whether or not to resume in-person services as long as it upholds social distancing regulations.

However, Hutchinson stressed the importance of still being careful moving forward in order for the state to maintain progress in fighting the coronavirus. He still encouraged residents to stay home if possible and continue safe practices like washing hands regularly.
Meanwhile, large indoor venues in the state will be allowed to start reopening with similar restrictions on May 18.
