A banker at Goldman Sachs has been fired after the investment banking company discovered that he had pleaded guilty in February to sexually assaulting his niece on “multiple occasions for years.”

Last month, 33-year-old Ronan O’Grady was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to eight counts of sexual assault in relation to sexually abusing his niece when she was 6-years-old.

According to reports, his niece, Keely O’Grady, said that Ronan touched her inappropriately, showed her pornography, and made her perform oral sex on him.

On at least one of the many occasions that the assaults took place, one of Ronan’s friends would also hide in a closet and film the assaults.

Ronan, who had been working as a private wealth adviser at Goldman’s offices, was only given two years after the judge took into account that he was between the ages of 13-year-old and 17-years-old.

Even though he had entered his guilty plea in February and had been sentenced last month, he continued working at the bank without informing his bosses of his conviction.

“Mr. O’Grady concealed these criminal proceedings from us until June 2024, despite being required to disclose them,” Goldman Sachs spokesperson Tony Fratto told The Post. “His employment ended within days of us becoming aware.”

He added that the managers at Goldman “were shocked to learn of Mr. O’Grady’s appalling past offenses” and that “he is no longer employed by the firm.”

“Our thoughts are with the victim,” Fratto stated.

Keely, who is now 26-years-old, reached out to Ronan after she turned 18-years-old in order to confront him about the past abuse.

“I remember too. I hope you’re OK,” Ronan O’Grady wrote back to his niece, adding that he was “young and stupid” at the time.

However, despite the messages, Ronan previously maintained his innocence until the start of the trial.
