President Trump wrapped up his SOTU address and all conservatives can say is wow. He hit all of the points that conservatives wanted him to and he brilliantly highlighted the various ways his administration has been a smashing success thus far.
Over the past year, Trump has gone up against a lot of opponents.
Democrats, celebrities, foreign leaders, etc.
However, one of his most memorable targets was the NFL and their strange decision to let players kneel for the national anthem without any kind of punishment.
It was a ratings killer for the league.
From Breitbart:
With the 2017 NFL season now down in the record books as having lost another ten percent in TV ratings, the league has found a $30 million dip in ad revenue, a report says.
As the final numbers for advertisement sales for the season were tallied, the league discovered that its revenue fell 1.2 percent because “makegoods” rose to beat rate increases. A makegood is a partial repayment of money charged to advertisers because the viewership did not reach the expected numbers to justify the top rate. Revenue was reported at “$2.42 billion, down from $2.45 billion in 2016,” according to media industry trade magazine Ad Week. That is a $30 million loss according to Awful Announcing.
Impossible to make the argument that the anthem protests had nothing to do with that.
During Trump’s SOTU address he took a moment to take a little shot at the kneelers and remind them that a lot of Americans out there didn’t appreciate what they did.
President Trump: "Preston's reverence for those who have served our nation reminds us why we salute our flag, why we put our hands on our hearts for the pledge of allegiance, and why we proudly stand for the national anthem." https://t.co/S5WRbdypkH #sotu #sotu18 pic.twitter.com/sFfhGPVJV3

Gotta love it. Democrats weren’t pleased.
Overall, Trump’s speech was incredible. He touched on everything he needed to touch on and he had a unifying message.
America first. Citizenship matters. The needs of Americans in communities that have been forgotten matter. Federal law matters. Things we never heard from the previous administration were littered throughout this speech.
A breath of fresh air.
There were a ton of great reactions in this Fox News piece that you should definitely check out.
