Two conservative organizations highlighted the importance of children’s education and reopening schools with a new campaign ad. The State Government Leadership Foundation and N2 America released the 30-second ad, which accused Democrats of showing undue allegiance to teachers’ unions.

“What don’t they understand?” the ad questions. “For kids, schools are everything.”

Meanwhile, Republicans have pressed the Biden administration to reopen schools. Additionally, a new study by the CDC found schools pose a low risk of spreading COVID-19 as long as proper precautions are taken.

“The CDC, the science, and experts say schools can safely open,” the advertisement states. “There’s little talk about what’s best for us. Unions and politicians seem more concerned about what’s best for them. The failures won’t go unnoticed because what’s happening is real. It’s time to let kids learn.”

The ad will air on local cable in Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington D.C. and online starting Thursday.
