On Wednesday, Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) touched on the 234-page report that was released on Tuesday.
She said that the rot is much more pervasive than she initially thought, adding that the toxic culture has been driven from the top down.
FDIC chair Martin Gruenburg apologized to his staff on Tuesday saying that the report presented a “sobering look” into the corporation’s culture.
“To anyone who experienced sexual harassment or other misconduct at the FDIC, I again want to express how very sorry I am,” Gruenberg wrote. “I also want to apologize for any shortcomings on my part.”
He pledged to his employees to implement the report’s recommendations.
Ernst recommended that Joe Biden orders a DOJ investigation.
