First Lady Jill Biden has claimed that the president’s age is an ‘asset’ and not a liability.

She made the comments during an interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. The show aired on Thursday morning.

Her comments come amid rising concerns over Biden’s age and fitness for office.

He’s 81-years-old and would be 86 at the end of a second term if he wins re-election.

A Wall Street Journal poll released last summer revealed that 73% of voters think Biden is too old to run for president.

However, the first lady insisted the president can do the job.

An Associated Press-NORC poll released in August showed that 77% of American adults, including 69% of Democrats, say that Biden is too old to be effective for another four years.
