According to Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz, Dr. Anthony Fauci has misled Americans about the coronavirus. In a recent Washington Examiner interview, the Republican said he feels Dr. Fauci relied too heavily on vaccines that didn’t perform as advertised.

“We expected too much from the vaccines,” stated the former TV host. “Vaccines are fantastic when used the right way with the right expectations, but not letting people go to a restaurant because they’ve not been properly boosted is a problem.”

Dr. Oz also said the Biden administration is too focused on pushing boosters to those who don’t want or need them and stated data shows boosters are completely unnecessary for young people. He cited critiques from prominent public health experts advising parents to be wary of lining their children up for boosters.

However, Dr. Oz noted their advice was met with resistance from the Biden administration, which supported a narrative that vaccines are the answer to everything. He was even more assertive when it came to mandates and said he would ban businesses from requiring them. Dr. Oz added, companies should not blindly enforce mandates without at least acknowledging the true science behind their limitation.

“I would block the ability of a private company to insist that employees have invasive procedures, which a vaccine is,” he explained. “It should be up to the employee. If there is a meaningful reason for it the company ought to be talking about it internally. Draconian, top-down approaches do not work. individuals should make these decisions with their doctors.”

Additionally, the Senate candidate said data continues to show natural immunity is proving to provide better protection than the vaccine. He pointed out that historically the way humans get through infections is by surviving the infection. Dr. Oz believes the body is equipped to fight off viruses and additional vaccines may only weaken the immune system.

Meanwhile, the former surgeon expressed his concerns people won’t trust medicine anymore as the result of the media silencing critics outside of the government’s agenda.

“The reaction over and over again from Washington has been ‘no, we’re going to go with not the science, the political science’ and when you mix politics and medicine you know what you get?” he asked. “Politics and that’s the suffering of doctors right now.”

This is not the first time Dr. Oz has slammed Dr. Fauci and the Biden administration’s poor handling of the pandemic. In January, he claimed the U.S. endured a medical emergency caused by gross incompetence.
