Donald Trump had some harsh words for former ally Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.). In an interview Tuesday, the 45th president referred to Graham as a RINO or a “Republican in Name Only.”

His remarks came after the South Carolina lawmaker was asked about Trump’s call for fair treatment of the January 6 protesters during a Texas rally in an interview over the weekend. Graham said he did not want to condone the actions of those involved and supported incarcerating them.

Trump responded by highlighting the double standard between January 6 and the Black Lives Matter riots.

“Out of proportion, like twenty times out of proportion,” he told a reporter regarding the treatment of the protesters. “These people are being persecuted. And the other ones, they caught people who kill people and they want to give them the minimum sentence. They’re out there fight for a minimum sentence. No, it’s a very unfair situation. Black Lives Matter, Antifa and others —  these radical left people. I mean, you have the vice president trying to bail everybody out of jail.”

The former president has alluded to pardoning capitol protesters should he be re-elected to the Oval Office.
