The suspect in a school shooting in Arlington, Texas is now in custody. Authorities made the announcement on Wednesday, saying 18-year-old Timothy Simpkins had been apprehended by police and was now being charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
The three victims who received treatment at the hospital are all said to be in good condition and are expected to recover. One of the four total victims denied treatment. Additionally, all students have now been evacuated from Timberview High School.

Meanwhile, authorities said they believe they’ve found the weapon used to commit the shooting and are currently analyzing it.
“This incident, as tragic as it is, we take very serious in law enforcement. We do have a suspect who is identified. What we believe happened, preliminary, is that there was a fight between a student and another individual in a class and a gun was used, and there are four victims,” said Asst. Police Chief Kevin Kolbye.
Police said they’ve searched the school and found no additional weapons. In the meantime, they believe there are no additional threats.
