San Diego business owners put their foot down in protest before the County Board of Supervisors voted on a new measure. The bill, written by Board Chair Nathan Fletcher, claimed misinformation about COVID-19 was the cause behind the rise in deaths.
“We the people, Nathan Fletcher, will not comply with one more inch of our freedoms being taken away,” asserted a local resident. “There are no strings on me.”
Before the vote, the board opened the floor to public comment. A local gym owner took to the podium as he shared he was arrested, cited and threatened by the country for opening his gym in 2020.
He pointed out the people who were selling the panic were the same ones selling the cure.
“Each year, 2.8 million people die from the effects of obesity. That is 7,671 people per day, yet we don’t have mandates, recommendations or even a friendly suggestion from our health and government officials to do anything to prevent something that is 100 percent preventable,” he stated. “Where is the health crisis or the pandemic for obesity in the United States?”

The gym owner went on to highlight just how significant the gap in obesity rate was by noting the obesity rate in America was 12 times higher than that of Japan. He then questioned why health officials were mandating vaccinations.
Meanwhile, the very health tools people needed to stay healthy are often unattainable.
“Stop saying you care about health and saving lives while pushing masks and shots,” he expressed. “If it were really about health, why are life saving drugs like insulin, inhalers and dialysis so expensive?”
Several other San Diego residents spoke out against Fletcher’s agenda by arguing the Democrat was infringing on residents’ right to free speech.
