Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) condemned Joe Biden by saying the situation in Afghanistan has been a disaster for our country. During a recent interview, Donalds pushed back against Biden pointing his finger at President Trump for the current crisis.
The Florida lawmaker claimed there was no way President Trump have allowed incidents seen over the last month to occur. He added the Trump administration held the Taliban accountable when violating portions of their agreement every step of the way and stressed Biden did not.
Donalds has been one of many Republican lawmakers to slam Biden for his handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal, which has only escalated after the ISIS-K suicide bombing at the Kabul airport.
“This botched withdrawal is currently threatening the lives of our service men and women, the stability in the region and our integrity on the global stage,” he stated. “As Commander-in-Chief, Biden is directly responsible for commanding our brave troops with a coherent, strategically intelligent, and sound operation that keeps our Armed Services, citizens and allied partners out of harm’s way. He has failed on all fronts.”
Today’s deadly and devastating attack on America’s Service Members was the highest causality event for the Armed Forces since 2011 under the Obama Administration.
The last American causality in Afghanistan was February 2020.
Let that sink in.
This didn’t have to happen.
