Man dies after falling off staircase at N.Y. Mets’ stadium

A man has reportedly fallen to his death at the New York Mets’ home stadium during a Dead & Company concert. According to the New York Police Department on Friday, the 46-year-old man died after falling from a second-floor staircase at Citi Field in Queens.

He was discovered after having “suffered from injuries consistent with a fall from an elevated position,” according to a NYPD spokesperson.

It’s unclear if the man’s death was accidental, although witnesses said he was attempting to do a flip on a balcony before his fall. Police said he may of been under the influence of some type of substance during the incident.
