The liberal media has taken aim at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) saying its latest flip-flop on mask guidance is “confusing.” This week experts from outlets including CNN and the New York Times accused the agency of changing the guidelines to force people to get the vaccine and wear masks again.

This comes after the agency reversed its stance on mask wearing, saying people should wear masks indoors even if they are vaccinated. Left-wing media groups have also criticized the Biden administration for adding to the problem. The administration has been telling staff they would need to wear masks despite not being in a high transmission area.

In the meantime, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky has flirted with the idea of mandating vaccine passports federally. In an interview on Wednesday, Walensky said a type of health pass similar to Europe could be mandatory for some venues such as nightclubs and bars.

The idea of implementing vaccine passports has been highly controversial, with critics saying it violates personal privacy and could promote discrimination.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has been fighting back against Norwegian Cruise Lines as the company has pushed to require vaccine passports. “We have seen throughout this country, government overstep its bounds in response to the coronavirus pandemic and you can’t have an agency relying on flimsy legal authority to just keep an entire industry closed with really no path forward,” stated DeSantis.

Meanwhile, cities in Europe have started rolling out their health pass systems even as thousands have taken to the streets to protest what they call government overreach.
