President Trump has touted the record support he received at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Texas. In a statement issued on Monday, the 45th president pointed to the overwhelming support he received during the event over the weekend.
A straw poll conducted at the event saw him with over 70 percent support among the attending Republicans. At the conference, the president outlined the GOP’s path to victory in the upcoming midterm elections and beyond.

In addition, Trump touched on his historic support in the 2020 presidential election.
“More votes, 75 million, than anybody in the history of the presidency. Far more than Clinton, far more than Obama and a record 12 million more than 2016,” he announced. “…I was told by a great pollster… if you get it up to 64 or 65, nobody can beat you. Thank you John. I got it to 75.”
Meanwhile, several reports highlight Trump’s support at the event by saying he remains the most popular figure in the GOP.
