Just days before he is set to leave his post, Attorney General William Barr said in a press conference on Monday that he will not be appointing a special counsel in the Hunter Biden investigation.

Barr explained that he has not seen a reason to appoint a special counsel, adding that he has no plans to do so before he leaves office on Wednesday.
The attorney general also stated that he will not name a special counsel to investigate allegations of voter fraud, explaining that he would have done so if he thought it was the right step at this time.
“I think to the extent that there’s an investigation, it is being handled responsibly and professionally,” Barr said. “To this point, I have not seen a reason to appoint special counsel and I have no plan to do before I leave.”
Barr also told reporters that he sees no basis for the seizure of voting machines by the federal government.
