White House trade adviser Peter Navarro is criticizing Democrats for taking China’s side amid President Trump’s crackdown on the country.

During an interview Monday, Navarro said that while China is outwardly appearing to abide by the phase one conditions of a trade agreement with the U.S., its leadership is hoping to help usher in a Joe Biden presidency.

“The Chinese obviously want him (Donald Trump) out because he’s really tough on them,” stated the the adviser. “The Democratic Party obviously wants to take over the reins of power.”

According to Navarro, this is due to Democrat policies being perceived as more beneficial to Beijing.

“All the Dems want to do is blame the president, you never hear them talk about the Chinese Communist Party infecting this country,” he pointed out. “And that’s a discussion that should be happening in Milwaukee this week, but I will predict it won’t.”

Navarro also mirrored President Trump’s condemnation of the Chinese leadership over what he characterized as its mishandling of the coronavirus pandemic.
