White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany recently confirmed that President Trump was never informed about the alleged Russian bounty on U.S. troops.

During a press briefing Monday, McEnany said the Intelligence Agency is given thousands of reports daily and only brings verified, confirmed information to the presidents attention.

McEnany also said the Intelligence Agency is briefing the top eight leaders of Congress Monday, following an unconfirmed report by the New York Times that suggested the president knew about the bounties and failed to address Congress. She slammed the Times for using unverified information and said they should be held responsible for their false reporting.

Moving forward, McEnany said the allegations will continue to be evaluated by those in the Intelligence Agency.
