President Trump has announced he anticipates this year’s Group of Seven summit will take place primarily at the White House. On Thursday, he said it appears the annual meeting with world leaders is still on.

According to him, the U.S. is ahead of schedule in containing coronavirus, while other countries are doing well also.

“We’re going to have it probably at the White House, maybe a little combination of Camp David, but primarily at the White House,” stated the president. “So if we do the G7, when that all comes together, probably it will be in D.C. at the White House, but there could be a piece of it at Camp David, which is nearby.”

The summit is expected to take place in June. The president added there will be an announcement about the meeting early next week.
