The governor of Massachusetts unveiled plans for the state to get its economy back up and running. On Monday, Gov. Charlie Baker (R) released the four phase plan, which is not expected to end until a coronavirus vaccine is in circulation.
In a press conference, Baker said he hopes to begin phase one of reopening measures by next Monday. However, the Republican noted it’s possible the state could take a bit longer to reopen.
“The goal is to begin this process around May 18th, but it will be gradual,” he stated. “And the facts on the ground will obviously determine whether we actually hit that goal.”
Today we announced a four-phase approach to reopening the economy and published mandatory workplace safety standards that will apply across all sectors and industries when reopening begins.
