British Prime Minister Boris Johnson officially returned to 10 Downing Street, following his battle with the coronavirus.The 55-year-old returned to work Monday after he was diagnosed with COVID-19 last month and spent several nights in intensive care.
Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who stood in for Johnson during his time away, said the prime minister was “raring” to get back to work.
In the first remarks since his return, Johnson said the U.K. is making good progress in its fight against the pandemic, but also warned against relaxing coronavirus restrictions too soon.
“We are now beginning to turn the tide…if this virus were a physical assailant, an unexpected and invisible mugger, which I can tell you from personal experience it is then this is the moment when we have begun together to wrestle it to the floor,” he stated. “And so it follows that this is the moment of opportunity, this is the moment when we can press home our advantage.”

Johnson went on to say the U.K. is scheduled to outline additional exit plans from the lockdown in the coming days.
