Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has signed more than 130 bills into law, including one that would allow foreigners with work permits, some of whom are illegal aliens, to become police officers in the state.

Democrat legislators in the state, who have a supermajority within the Illinois House and Senate, passed House Bill 3751 in June that allowed thousands of illegal aliens enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program as well as thousands of other foreign nationals with work permits to land a job in law enforcement.

“… an individual against whom immigration action has been deferred by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services under the federal DACA process is allowed to apply for the position of police officer, deputy sheriff, or special policeman, subject to specified requirements,” a summary of the legislation states.

Last week, Pritzker (D-Ill.) signed the legislation into law which takes effect immediately.

In the sanctuary state of California, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.) also made it possible for illegal aliens to become police officers on local, county, and state levels.

The California law, which was implemented earlier this year, requires that officers have a work permit issued by the federal government. Under President Joe Biden’s administration, work permits are regularly given out to border crossers and illegal aliens released into the U.S. after crossing the border.

HB 3882, which was another of the 130 bills signed into law by Pritzker, allows illegal immigrants living in the state to obtain a standardized Illinois Driver’s License.

HB 1268 allows a person convicted of a felony to serve as an executor if certain criteria are met. Beginning July 1, 2025, HB 2297 expands reporting requirements for state agencies to include non-binary or gender non-conforming in their employment reports among many other bills signed.
