Over 70K AT&T, T-Mobile And Verizon Users Hit By Massive Cellular Outage In U.S. – One America News Network

A massive cellular outage across the United States has left thousands of people with cellular service.

Mobile provider AT&T had the highest number of issues, with close to 32,000 reports at 4:30 a.m. Thursday morning, according to data from Down Detector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from different sources that tracks user-submitted errors. 

Over 800 service outages were also reported on other service providers such as T-Mobile and Verizon. 

Additionally, more issues were reported on smaller carriers that included Boost Mobile, Consumer Cellular and Straight Talk Wireless. 

The issues went across multiple major cities that included New York, Boston, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle, and San Francisco. 

With the cellular outages, multiple police stations across the country warned people that they may not be able to call to report emergencies. 

However, multiple AT&T users claimed they have been stuck in “SOS Mode” in which they can only reach emergency services. 

An AT&T spokeswoman said the company is working “urgently to restore service.” 

“We encourage the use of Wi-Fi calling until service is restored,” she said.

As for Verizon and T-Mobile, spokespersons said their networks are operating normally. 

Furthermore, the companies claimed that the issues only arise when customers try to call or text those using AT&T. 

The spokesperson from Verizon said its customers “experienced issues this morning when calling or texting with customers served by another carrier.”

“We are continuing to monitor the situation,” the Verizon spokesperson said in a statement.
