Andrew Tate, his brother Tristan, and the two women who were arrested in December have been released from jail.

Tate, 36 was initially arrested on December 29th along with his brother, and two Romanian women on suspicion of “human trafficking, rape, and crime gang offences.”

Authorities said that the brothers, along with the two women who were living with them, had been under investigation since April 2022 after allegations of the illegal activities surfaced.

The brothers have been held in jail in Romania while authorities continued their investigation into their alleged crimes. Their detention was originally extended for 30 days at the end of January, then again at the end of February.

Early in March, all four had filed for bail, which was ultimately denied by a judge on Wednesday. The brothers then appealed the decision, and the Court of Appeals in Bucharest ruled that the brothers and the two women would be released from prison.

Tate’s spokesman told MailOnline that all four will now be placed under house arrest instead of being incarcerated. They will not be allowed to leave their place of residence, unless given permission by the courts.

One of the women who had been detained with Tate, Georgiana Naghel, is also an American citizen, and is described as “a businesswoman and influencer,” she is also believed to have been dating Tate for almost a year now.

The other woman, Luana Radu, was previously a police officer in Bucharest who left the force eight years ago to pursue a career working in video chat rooms.

All four were due to be detained until April 29th, where another 30-day extension would have been decided on. None of the four individuals have been formally charged with any of the crimes that they have been accused of.

An earlier decision to keep them detained said that the judge heavily factored the “particular dangerousness of the defendants” into his decision.

The social media influencer became a controversial figure and skyrocketed to fame recently after videos of him speaking out about his views and opinions started becoming popular on the internet and social media sites.

He had also won two world titles during his kickboxing career, which spanned from 2005 until 2013 when he retired.

Despite his incarceration, Tate has gained an even larger following online with several dedicated fan and “update” being created on social media platforms.
