Biden signs National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal 2022

Biden signed the legislation that sets the defense department’s policy guidance today.

The 740 billion dollar bill is 25 million dollars more than Biden’s budget request.

The NDAA includes several new provisions including reforms on how the military handles sexual assault cases. It also includes pay raises for the military and establishes an independent commission to examine the Afghanistan war and the U.S. withdrawal.
