Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) takes on woke indoctrination in the workplace and schools, introducing the first of its kind legislation in the nation.
DeSantis unveiled the “Stop W.O.K.E. Act” on Wednesday, which stands for “Stop Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees.” The move challenges the teaching of Marxist ideologies in schools and corporate America by declaring critical race theory as an unlawful employment and education practice.
DeSantis said the proposed legislation would make clear that such teaching violates Florida’s Civil Rights Act.
Today, we are taking a stand against critical race theory in our schools and in the workplace by calling for the enactment of the Stop W.O.K.E. Act. https://t.co/7iuEjyYKsj

“It violates Florida standards to scapegoat someone based on their race, to say that, you know, they’re inherently racist, to say that they’re in a presser or pressed or anything like that. And that’s good and that’s important, but we also have to realize we got to do more to make sure that that actually carries today in the classrooms and in our society,” stated DeSantis.
The legislation would strip funds designated to the teaching of critical race theory from schools.
DeSantis has grown popular among many voters due to his fight for the people mentality. Over the past year, numerous polls have shown DeSantis as the frontrunner for the GOP nomination in 2024 if President Trump decides against running.
