The 45th president said many people think the Chinese Communist Party allowed COVID-19 to spread at the early stages of the outbreak for political purposes.

In an interview on Wednesday, Donald Trump said he does not believe China released COVID-19 on purpose. However, he said the Trump administration was standing up to China economically and militarily.

“You know, don’t want to be naïve,” he stated. “There are many people that I respect that do think so, OK? And a lot of people think they did it, so that I would lose the election.”

Trump added, Beijing was really suffering and wanted him out of the office.

“That’s certainly one of many theories because I was doing very well against China,” he explained. “We rebuilt our military, we did things that nobody thought possible. In that period of time, we rebuilt our military. We created Space Force, which they hate by the way. They were taking over space and they hate it. They hated everything I did.”

The 45th president also said Joe Biden is now surrendering America’s national interests to foreign countries.
