South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) has sounded the alarm on the crisis at the southern border. During an interview released Monday, she said Joe Biden’s refusal to help border states is a “complete failure of leadership.”
“What’s happening at the southern border has shook people to the core,” she stated. “People who maybe didn’t pay that much attention to politics before, maybe didn’t pay that much attention to government and the fact that leaders and the decisions they make have real consequences, boy they’re awake now, they’re paying attention.”
Noem was one of several state leaders who deployed National Guard troops to Texas to help Gov. Greg Abbott (R) defend the southern border. However, she warned Biden’s weak immigration laws are not only impacting border states. She went on to add that this month she will re-deploy National Guardsmen to Texas to help defend the border.
“It’s up to us to really articulate the difference in what we did have under President Trump and conservative leadership, and what we have today with the Biden White House,” explained the senator. “A nation without laws isn’t a nation at all and we’re quickly getting there. In fact, faster than I thought we would.”

The South Dakota lawmaker suggested that Biden should meet with Republican governors, like they have requested, in order to hear probable solutions to the ongoing border crisis.
