Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) corrected CNN host Chris Cuomo after he claimed Republicans were against the coronavirus vaccine. Taking to twitter on Tuesday, Crenshaw shared a clip of Cuomo’s show in which he suggested Republicans have been telling people not to get vaccinated.
Crenshaw clarified by saying he’s never said people shouldn’t trust the vaccine. He added he has only called the vaccine both safe and effective, which people should make the decision for themselves.
This came in response to Cuomo trying to call Crenshaw out by name.
“It’s not about shaming you. I don’t want you to feel forced and yet, there is shame in this. There are people basically forcing you to think foregoing the vaccine is you being free and that’s a false choice. People like Crenshaw, Paul, Cruz, Ron Johnson. They’re punking you.”
Crenshaw finished by criticizing Cuomo further by saying his brother Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) encouraged public distrust about the vaccine from the beginning.
