Mo. mall shooting leaves 1 dead

A shooting at a Missouri mall has left one dead following an altercation between two males. Police responded to the shooting at the West County Mall on Saturday evening after gunfire reportedly erupted in a store.

Witnesses said they heard as many as eight gunshots. The victim shot was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The victim is said to be 20-year-old Malachi Maclin of Florissant.

Authorities believe the shooting was not random and say there is no further threat to the public. The suspect has since been arrested as of Sunday morning.

This is the second shooting that has taken place at West County Mall this year.
