House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has raised eyebrows after a series of gaffs during her latest press conference. The Democrat’s mistakes began on Thursday at her weekly press conference when she interrupted a reporter.
The reporter asked Pelosi about Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-Minn.) recent inflammatory comments about Israel and her Jewish Democrat colleagues. Congresswoman Omar has been the subject of scrutiny this week after defending comments she made equating the U.S. and Israel to terrorist organizations such as Hamas and the Taliban.
“We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the U.S., Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban,” formerly tweeted Omar.
Meanwhile, Pelosi’s gaffs continued when she cut off a different reporter who asked about the Republican caucus. She then stumbled through her presentation about the Fourth of July and patriotism.
Critics have pointed out Pelosi is demanding answers from all radical Republicans when they misspeak, yet remains silent when asked about issues that could make her own party look bad. In the meantime, Pelosi has several public appearances coming up where more blunders are sure to pop up.
