The feud between Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Dr. Anthony Fauci heated up after the Republican congressman called the doctor a “petty tyrant.”
In a tweet on Monday, Paul claimed Fauci was ignoring 100 years of science, adding that he just wants people to do what he says, even if it makes no sense.
Fauci continues to ignore 100 years of vaccine science.
His only real theme is “do what I say” even when it makes no sense.
If you’ve recovered or been vaccinated – go about your life. Eat, drink, work, open the schools.
Enough with the petty tyrants! https://t.co/HiZR9JRuTI

This came after Fauci, over the weekend, suggested vaccinated Americans should still not drink or eat indoors.
“No, it’s still not OK for the simple reason that the level of infection, the dynamics of infection in the community are still really disturbingly high,” Fauci said. “Like just yesterday, there were close to 80,000 new infections, and we’ve been hanging around 60, 70, 75,000.”
In contrast, Paul said Americans who have recovered from the coronavirus or have been vaccinated should go about their lives.
