Progressive lawmaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed she helped shape the Biden administration’s policy platform. The congresswoman took to Twitter Wednesday to respond to a comment, which noted how Biden’s climate executive orders reflected features of the Green New Deal.
It’s almost as if we helped shape the platform 😉 https://t.co/zXn3VcAbYw

Meanwhile, some Republicans fear progressive Democrats could be pushing Biden to the far-left. Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.) spoke to One America News and accused Democrats of radically shutting down conventional sources of energy.
“Joe Biden is yielding to the radical Green New Deal parts of the Democrat party,” Daines noted. “Unfortunately, that is now what seems to be the center of gravity for Democrats, embracing these radical ideas of shutting down conventional forms of energy.”
Daines added Biden’s efforts to place a moratorium on oil, gas and coal leases on federal lands will cost Americans one million jobs between now and 2023.
