The governor of Florida has announced plans to start distributing coronavirus vaccines to a broader number of people.
During a press conference Tuesday, Gov. Ron DeSantis said vaccines will be available at select Publix Pharmacy locations throughout the Sunshine State.
The vaccines will be available by appointment at Publix locations in Citrus, Hernando and Marion counties. He said those will act as “pilot counties” before the vaccines will be distributed to a broader number of stores.

Thanks to @Publix for their support and partnership in this pilot prioritizing seniors and administering vaccines this Friday. Seniors can register online beginning Thursday at https://t.co/9iX86vgwuN – supply is contingent on federal distribution. pic.twitter.com/PusJwWan2Q
