White House Economic Advisor Larry Kudlow weighed in on stimulus negotiations. On Friday, Kudlow gave a rundown of what the White House expects on that bill.
When asked about reports that claim President Trump wants more money for direct payments, Kudlow said the President is going with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on the matter. Kudlow also described the Republican position as “united.”
The American people have struggled heroically through this pandemic. They’ve already waited too long for more relief.
The Senate isn’t going anywhere until our bipartisan discussions reach an outcome for the American people.

“You’re looking at a $300 federal unemployment plus up, and you’re looking at a $600 rescue assistance direct mail check, which would come to $2400 for a typical family of 4,” Kudlow stated. “We are united on that. I won’t confirm or deny any of these rumors…this is not our position and we’re all united on that.
Kudlow also spoke about Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), who on Thursday introduced a new condition for the COVID-19 stimulus bill.
His proposal seeks to limit Federal Reserve emergency fund lending for programs created by the CARES act, which are set to expire at the end of this year.
Kudlow said he strongly supports the position.
