President Trump has continued calls to reopen the country amid the pandemic. During an interview on Tuesday, he noted the White House has made good progress in getting major industries, like the manufacturing sector, back up and running.

The President has stated the next big fight will be persuading schools to reopen. When asked if he could get it done, the President mused about his success in getting college sports to resume amid the pandemic despite no one thinking it was possible.

“I’m the one that got Big 10 and Pac-12 football back…that wasn’t coming back and I got it back,” he stated. “I hope people realize that.”

Last week, the White House released a new set of guidelines meant to help government offices reopen safely during the pandemic.

President Trump has also noted that Dr. Anthony Fauci is a “nice guy,” but “not a team player.” He discussed his relationship with the infectious disease expert in a recent interview.

The President claimed that many people believe the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is against him, but he’s really not.

Despite this, President Trump recently told supporters the American people are tired of listening to Dr. Fauci. Additionally, the President has blasted Joe Biden for wanting to heed the doctor’s advice.
