President Trump has created an advisory commission to expand economic and educational opportunities for the Latino community. On Thursday, he signed the executive order to establish the White House Hispanic Prosperity Initiative.

The order will facilitate private-public partnerships to advance Latino employment and business activity. It also aims to improve Latino school choices.

The media was quick to accuse President Trump of “courting” Latino voters with this plan. However, the president reiterated he’s working to create an economy that works for all.

“With this very exciting new effort, we will deliver a future of greater promise, opportunity and freedom,” he stated. “…Hispanic Americans and the Hispanic American community is a treasure.”

According to the president, U.S. relations with Latin American countries have never been better. He cited the latest success of his talks with the president of Mexico, who visited the White House this week.
