White House Senior Adviser Ivanka Trump delivered remarks at a Maryland produce distributor on Friday. She visited Coastal Sunbelt Produce to highlight the work being done as part of the ‘Farmers to Families’ project.
The program aims to help suppliers who have been affected by the coronavirus distribute food boxes to non-profits, community and faith based organizations, and food banks.

The first daughter praised Americans, saying through continued dedication and innovation from farmers, small businesses, and their workers, we will find a pathway for success.
“It’s within our American DNA to come together in the most difficult times and to find the path forward,” stated Ivanka. “As we witness the first ‘Farmers to Family’ food boxes going out today, we recognize each of you to represent an important piece of the fabric, which means America.”
The Department of Agriculture launched a $19 billion aid program last month in an effort to help farmers and ranchers during the pandemic.
