Police investigating ‘suspicious letter’ found at Senator Collins’ home

BANGOR (WGME) — Bangor Police are investigating a suspicious letter that was found at the home of Senator Susan Collins, according to the Bangor Daily News.

The Bangor Daily News reports that Sen. Collins is currently on her way to her house on West Broadway.

Police responded just before 2 p.m. Monday to investigate a suspicious letter that was left at their home, according to the Bangor Daily News.

Members of the Bangor Criminal Investigation Division are on scene and the investigation is ongoing.

The Bangor Fire Department and a HAZMAT team from Orono are assisting the investigation.

Police say the public is not in danger.
